Speaker Bio:
Amy Hill is a Competition Law Officer with the Competition Bureau of Canada’s Compliance and Outreach Unit. Amy contributes to the promotion of compliance by businesses of all sizes with the Competition Act and other labelling statutes that fall under the responsibility of the Bureau. Prior to this role, Amy was a Competition Law Officer in the Bureau’s Advocacy Unit. She worked with governments across Canada to reduce regulatory barriers to competition. While at the Bureau, Amy has also contributed to a high-profile abuse of dominance case. Prior to joining the Competition Bureau, she held a range of positions across the private, non-profit and public sectors. Amy is a published author, and she has testified before Parliamentary Committee. She holds certificates from the London School of Economics and Political Science, a JD and a Master of Public Administration from Dalhousie University and a bachelor of economics with distinction from the University of Victoria. Amy is a licensed lawyer with the Law Society of Ontario.
